Our theme this week is, "Whatever you do, work hard, as for the Lord and not for men" from Colossians 3:23. This morning in Beginnings, I tried to encourage the students to have a mindset to "work hard for the Lord" and connect last week's theme, Law 5 "listen and obey your parents and teachers." ...
The first few weeks of school are always exciting as students come in ready to re-connect with their friends and teachers, and get ready to dive into a new school year.
Today during Gardening Class, some of the students were able to go to the chicken coop. While we didn't actually attack anything, and the chickens only seemingly attacked as they were trying to jump past the students, we did help to gather the good organic material in the wood chips by sifting it out bringing it back to the garden.
These first two days have been great to get everyone connected and comfortable with each other. We had a range of activities from a few class social games where they got to create their own nicknames and we had to guess them to a school wide activity called "Ketchup" where everyone shared about their summer and wrote down or drew each other's stories in the hallway.
