Greetings Parents,

I hope this blog update finds you well! We had a wonderful week of school. We learned valuable lessons about the importance of being obedient to our parents and teachers (Law 5) as well as working hard for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23). We discussed often how the work that we do when people are watching and the work that we put in when no one is watching should all reflect our desire to please the Lord. It can be a difficult thing to conceptualize, but our students are getting older and learning the lessons associated with doing well only when someone is watching or a prize or point is involved. Help your child to make these laws and verses appropriate to their moment while at home by helping them to understand what it looks like to work hard for the Lord.

Our theme and verse for this upcoming week are:

Love One Another
"As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34

If you have the opportunity, continue to help your child retain their law and verse memorization. As they memorize scripture, it is written on their hearts and it becomes easier to pull out in so many moments when they need to rely on God's word for faith and strength.

Enjoy a walk through last week with these pictures:
