From the Principal

Dear Academy for g.o.d. Families,

We're looking forward to another great year at The Academy for G.O.D.! I am confident that this year will be a time of growth and learning for your child. Our staff is committed to this task set before us, and we are ready for the new opportunities each year brings. We prayed for an opportunity to open up an elementary school and provide a holistic education for children, and the LORD has granted us our request. We couldn’t be more grateful because we believe that there is no greater work we could be involved in, than to educate and mature the next generation.

I truly believe that the best resource we have to offer is the people who make it what it is.  We have nearly 40 adults who teach various subjects within our K-12school.  These 40 individuals are the most committed, hardworking and dynamic people that I know. It’s a privilege to work with them everyday.  Most of them I have known and worked with for the past decade.  Our teachers are committed to not only teaching their course work well and in a way that students can grasp, but also they are genuinely concerned about the development of each student who walks through our school's doors.

At The Academy for G.O.D. we recognize that our world is increasingly becoming technology-dependent.  Children are bombarded with information, images, and technology at a very early age.  Unlike our generation, they are considered to be 'digital natives.'  We want to teach children how to respond to these changes with responsibility and wisdom. We have chosen to utilize the iPad as our main manipulative in the classroom for these reasons. We have recognized the trends that are happening and want children who are growing up in this age to know what to do with this type of information at their fingertips. We will teach them how to have healthy social identities, while simultaneously not forsaking the importance of face-to-face human interaction.

At the Academy, students will learn a variety of subjects, but most importantly, they will receive a biblical education. We believe that the Word of God is our direction, and it is what sustains us.  It is a privilege to teach children the law of God, which is just and good, at a young age.  It is our hope that children who go through our program will grow up to be responsible human beings with high moral and ethical standards.  It is our hope that they will truly know what the LORD requires of them, which is to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.  These students will know how to care for their neighbors, as a spiritual act to God.

I am thankful for what I get to do each day. Teaching children is very dear to my heart! Whether I’m in a third world country, or in the United States, I want to vest my life into raising up this next generation to make a difference in the world.  More than standardized test scores, I hope that students who graduate from The Academy for G.O.D. will be extremely kind, social, and dynamic.  As a mother of four myself, with three children at the Academy, I am committed to this educational endeavor, and I will do my best to provide for your child the best education and care that they could receive. I know that my staff would say the same.

Please feel free to contact me directly at with any further questions or concerns, as they are important to me.

It’s going to be a great year at The Academy for G.O.D.!
