Academy headmaster Mr. Gregg Garner facilitates the first chapel of the year for Junior High and High School students. In these weekly chapels, teachers share about God’s work in their own lives, and encourage students to engage in the spiritual disciplines of prayer and worship.
Language Arts is much more enjoyable outside on a beautiful fall day! These students are learning about the element of ‘setting’ in a story. Surrounded by fresh sounds, sights and smells, they practice writing a paragraph to describe the setting around them. On nice days, we do as many classes as we can outside!
Students enjoy hands-on games during recess. Recognizing the vast array of human gifting and learning styles, teachers at the Academy encourage development through a vast array of methods, from hands-on kinesthetic tasks to musical song and rhymes; from interpersonal group exercises to quiet times of personal, written work.
