This summer, we introduced scythes in East Africa—a tool that we believe is appropriate for the health, environment, and income level of African farmers. They are ergonomically designed to benefit the body rather than hurt it and save time, money, and energy, allowing people to spend more time on things like food production, sustainable building, or education.
