Every Manners class, we start it off by reciting a poem. I thought I'd share the words with you! A video of a part of this poem is on ClassDojo. I encourage you to have your kindergartener say the first half of it to you, as that's all we've learned so far. They love getting out percussion instruments to keep the beat while we recite this poem:
We say, "Thank you."
We say, "Please."
We don't interrupt or tease.
We don't argue. We don't fuss.
We listen when folks talk to us.
We share our toys and take our turn.
Good manners aren't too hard to learn.
It's really easy, when you find
Good manners means
JUST BEING KIND!
