Mission

Providing meaningful summer jobs for youth to become confident and skilled leaders in the workplace.

WorkWell provides summer jobs to youth aged 14-16, empowering them with necessary skills that will transfer into future workplace environments. Through their work with our nonprofit community service activity, employees are engaged in work that immediately benefits individuals in need, particularly in the Old Hickory, Antioch and Madison vicinity.

This summer, WorkWell employees will be hired to work in four specific teams: landscape assistants, farm hands, jr. camp counselors and youth sports facilitators. Youth are paired with “near-peer tutors” (20-24 year old college students from the Nashville area) and an expert in their field. Near peers likewise learn necessary workplace skills, but on the side of management, administration and leadership, working alongside experts to ensure quality service and product.

june 4th - july 19th 2019

Camp Skillz Junior Counselors will participate in the organization of summer programs, organizing activities for children including daily meals. Youth will work together to maintain a safe learning environment for campers, and in the process discover the challenges associated with organizing groups of people.
